Once on his tour, he visited a village called Manipura near Bhimarathi River, which was under the control of a mlecha kingdom. While crossing the Bhimarathi River, he carried the Sri Mularamadevara pooja box on his shoulders and reached the bank of the river. All of a sudden, Bhimarathi river gave way to the Swamiji to reach the other side of the river. Swamiji crossed the river alongwith his disciples safely, to the surprise of one and all.

When Vasudeva carried Srikrishna also Yamuna gave way so that he could reach Gokula. At that time Vasudeva, the father of Krishna was carrying Krishna paramathma, here Raghuvarya Thirtharu was carrying Sri Moolaramadevaru.

He selected Raghottamaru as his shishya before his birth :

Once on his tour Sri Raghuvarya Theertharu visited a village named Swarnavata which was in the control of a Nizam. The Zaminder of the Village Sri Subbabatta with his wife Gangabai requested the swamiji for a “Bhiksha” in their house, which the swamiji refused as they were childless. The couple requested the swamiji repeatedly to accept their request, upon which the swamiji blessed them with a child with a condition that the child to be handed over to the Mutt. Swamiji did the Moola Ramadevara pooja and gave anugraha sahita mantrakshate to the couple.

Gangabai delivered a male child, for which Swamiji sent a gold plate to the Zamindar’s house from the matha, to receive the child directly in the golden place without touching the earth. Accordingly the child was delivered directly in the golden plate and brought to the Mutt . The child was none other than Sri Raghottama Thirtharu, the great “Bhavadeepikacharyaru” of the Uttaramutt.

Same is the case with Sri Vadirajaru and Sri Vyasarajaru’s birth.  All three yogis are kept in the Golden plate before touching the earth.
