He was a great Vidwan and Shatavadhani. Shatavadhani Means: One having the capacity of remembering or attending to a hundred things simultaneously.
“Avadhana” means‘ perfect concentration and uninterrupted contemplation on a particular subject, viz., literature, mythology, music, dance, painting, poetry, Dharmik discussions. The ‘art of Avadhana’ includes accomplishing many a challenging intellectual feat simultaneously with great confidence. ‘Avadhana’ not only thoroughly entertains but also thrills the audience. One who does is termed as “Avadhani”. It requires immense memory power and tests a person’s capability of performing multiple tasks simultaneously. All the tasks are memory intensive and demand an in depth knowledge of literature. No external memory aids are allowed while performing these tasks except the person’s own brain, not even so much as a writing utensil. Avadhani first listens all the questions and answers all one by one. The group of people who asks the questions are termed as Pruchakaas. And the first person to ask the question is called as Pradhana Pruchaka. There are different types of avadhanees, viz., Astavadhani (8 astavadhana), shatavadhaani (100 astavadhana), sahasravadhani (1000 astavadhana), etc. There are other forms of Avadhanams also name Chitravadhanam for paintaing, Nrutyavadhanam for Dancing, Ganitavadhanam for Mathematics.
He has toured the entire country for theertha kshetra yatre. When he had been to Kashi kshetra, there he did the digvijaya and established Dwaitha Siddantha. The Vidvanmandali at Kashi honoured him for his panditya in Madhwa Siddantha and gave him a Gante for the pallakki, which is being used even today in Vyasaraja Mutt for the pallakki’s simha lalata.
Every year Sri Srinatha Aradhana is being celebrated by Andrahalli Madhavachar (vamshastaru of Srinatha Tirtharu) at Shakambari Nagar Rayara Mutt, with upanyaasa, vakyaartha, alankara, etc on Pushya shudda chouti day.
