कूर्मो वरुणगंगे च यस्य प्रत्यक्षतां गता:।

Sri Raghunatha Tirtharu of UM only gave the title “Sripadarajaru” to Sri Lakshmi narayana Muni, when he saw his Vidya proudime. Subsequently the people came to know Lakshminarayana Muni as Sripadarajaru only. Many people are not knowing the original name of Sripadarajaru.
Contemporaries – Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu, Sripadarajaru, Sri Vyasarajaru, Purandaradasaru, Sri Kanakadasaru.
He travelled all over India by foot and by carrying his samsthana deities on his shoulders. He toured extensively and defeated many a scholar in scholarly dispute and strengthened the cause of Vaishnavatva. He had under his tutelage as many as twenty eight monks who were called Shripadas.
Giving Title as Sripadaraja Muni – Once Sri Raghunatha Tirtharu visited Koppara kshetra, a Narasimha kshetra. At the same time, Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu met Sri Raghunatha Tirtharu and showed his vidyarthi Lakshminarayana Muni and asked him to bless Lakshminarayana Muni. Sri Lakshminarayana Muni presented Srimannyaya Sudha before the great gurus Raghunatha Tirtharu and Vibudendra Tirtharu, who was pleased and adorned him with the title “Sripadaraja”. He told while the Kings are kings, you are the Kings of all Sripadaas.
